GC Gold Label 2 Universal Restorative is a self-curing, radiopaque glass ionomer restorative cement designed for durable restorations in permanent and primary teeth. Formulated with strontium-based fluoroaluminosilicate glass, it offers excellent radiographic visibility, sustained fluoride release, and reliable chemical adhesion to enamel and dentin without the need for an additional bonding agent.

The material provides a strong marginal seal through an ion-exchange mechanism, helping reduce microleakage and the risk of recurrent caries. Its moisture resistance, easy handling, and sharp setting characteristics make it suitable for efficient chairside restorative procedures. GC Gold Label 2 can be finished and polished approximately 15 minutes after mixing under water spray, supporting faster clinical workflow.

Specifications

Direction to Use

1. Clean the cavity thoroughly and remove all debris and unsupported tooth structure.

2. Condition the prepared surface using a suitable cavity conditioner if required.

3. Rinse thoroughly and gently dry the surface while maintaining slight moisture.

4. Dispense the powder and liquid according to the recommended ratio.

5. Incorporate the powder into the liquid and mix for approximately 25–30 seconds.

6. Place the mixed material into the prepared cavity within the working time.

7. Adapt and contour the restoration using suitable instruments.

8. Allow the material to set undisturbed.

9. Protect the restoration from moisture contamination during the initial setting phase.

10. Finish and polish under water spray approximately 15 minutes from the start of mixing.

11. Check occlusion and perform final adjustments as required.

Contraindications

• Not indicated for pulp capping.

• In rare cases, the product may cause sensitivity in some individuals. If any allergic reaction or sensitivity occurs, discontinue use and seek medical advice.
